NOTICE OF THE MARCH 9, 2021 SCHOOL BOARD MEETINGS

Notice is hereby given that the School Board of Hernando County, Florida will hold the following meetings on March 9, 2021 in the School Board Room, 919 N. Broad Street, Brooksville, FL 34601:

11 AM – Informal Meeting
2 PM – Workshop 
6 PM – Regular Meeting

In accordance with applicable Executive and Emergency Orders, members of the public will be able to participate in the meeting in person, subject to the following mitigation restrictions:  1) no more than 50 people may be in attendance in the Board Room; 2) face covering will be required for all attendees; and 3) social distancing guidelines will be expected to be maintained of attendees.  The School Board agenda is published seven days prior to the meeting, and it will be video live-streamed on the District’s webpage at 
http://hernandocountyschool.iqm2.com/Citizens/Default.aspx. 

As an accommodation to persons who are unable to wear appropriate face coverings while attending the meeting, the written public comment to [email protected] will remain available as an access point for this meeting.  In order to be considered prior to Board action, these comments must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. on the Monday preceding the board meeting.  Comments must contain the name and address of the submitter, as well as the specific agenda item to be addressed.  The Board’s review of the content of such comment may be limited to 400 words, and the content will be subject to all applicable School Board bylaws and policies.  

Pursuant to the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, any person requiring special accommodations to participate in this meeting is asked to advise the agency at least five (5) days before the meeting by contacting Kelly Pogue at (352) 797-7253. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the School Board with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he/she will need a copy of the official record of the meeting. The official record of any School Board meeting consists of the official minutes approved by the Board including any back-up materials or documents submitted to it and a transcript of the audio and/or visual recording of the meeting if any made and maintained by the District. It is the responsibility of the party requesting a copy of audio/visual recording to have it transcribed for appellate purposes.
