Spring Hill, FL – Beginning Tuesday, July 10, a temporary detour will be in place directing traffic needing access to Mariner Boulevard from County Line Road in Hernando County. This closure is necessary to build the new westbound travel lanes through this intersection. Traffic will be directed to use Medical Boulevard and Quality Drive for approximately 30 days, weather permitting. Drivers are advised to remain alert to the changed conditions as motorists get used to traveling through this intersection.

The Florida Department of Transportation’s contractor, D.A.B. Constructors, Inc., is making improvements to the intersection of County Line Road and Mariner Boulevard/Shady Hills Road. Improvements include widening the existing two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane divided roadway, replacing the existing traffic signal, adding sidewalk and a shared-use path.

Construction activities and lane closures are occurring during daytime and nighttime hours. Access to driveways and side streets are being maintained. The $8.4 million project is to finish summer of 2018.
