What mom doesn’t love a good game of BINGO? In honor of Mother’s Day, the Weeki Wachee Area Club has something very special in store for the moms of Hernando. “This is a Mother’s Day Special to show appreciation to all mothers out there,” said Mary Ann Johnson, president of the Weeki Wachee Area Club, “with special prizes and surprises.”

This Saturday, May 13, the Weeki Wachee Area Club Bingo will start at 11 am, with doors opening at 10 am at the club, located at 7442 Shoal Line Blvd. in Spring Hill. This game will be called in honor of some exemplary ladies.

“We will offer a Free Mother’s Day Dauber for all moms,” Johnson explained. “We’ll have special prizes with some surprises. Bring your Mom/Daughter, (that is 18 or older) and get a free Three Strip Jackpot. We’ll have a special dessert for moms and a cake raffle.” The event also will feature a fun competition for ma’s and daughters.

“Bring a picture of your mom for the ‘Look Like You Mom’ contest,” said Johnson. “Prizes will be awarded. Judges will be the men present.” Food and beverages will be sold at the game, with proceeds going to support an important club project.

“The Area Club has been around for over 50 years,” said Johnson. “This year we are desperately trying to raise money to repair our parking lot. With this in mind, we have tried to come up with ideas to give back and share with our loyal people who have supported us these past years.”
And at this holiday BINGO game, everyone’s a winner. “We are hoping for a fun time, good food and friendly environment,” said Johnson. “Our Volunteers give their time to this every Saturday.” The guests of honor will be those amazing ladies who give so much time to their families, friends, careers and the world.
