Honey has natural skin healing properties, is a great collagen booster and therefore, a great anti-ager as well.

You don’t have to go far to banish most of your beauty concerns. Solutions can be found just a few steps away in your pantry.
Centuries before cosmetics and chemicals took over, the Egyptians and Greeks discovered honey was an incredible ingredient for the overall external and internal health of the body.

Honey is produced naturally by enzyme activity, plant matter, and live bacteria coming together to create a powerful ingredient that has hundreds of uses. This makes it especially valuable for cosmetic uses, such as cleansing, clearing acne, healing scars, and evening out skin tone.
Raw, unpasteurized honey has the best potential for beauty purposes. Here are some beauty tips on how honey can be applied:

Moisturiser: Honey is an ingredient found in lots of beauty products because it deeply moisturises the skin from deep within. The enzymes present in honey enable it to seep into the skin whilst conditioning and softening from within.
For using honey as a moisturizing mask: Use one spoon of honey on clean, dry skin, and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with cool water. It will serve as a perfect moisturizing mask.

Pore cleanser:
Honey can be used to cleanse pores and get rid of those pesky blackheads. Since honey contains antioxidants, antiseptic, and antibacterial properties, it will help rid your skin of blackheads by removing dirt from your pores. It then hydrates and tightens skin pores for a clearer complexion. For using honey as a pore cleanser: Mix one spoon of raw honey with two spoons of coconut oil and apply to clean, dry skin. Massage gently in a circular motion, avoiding your eye area. Then rinse with cold water.

Exfoliator: Chemical exfoliators can cause your skin to go red and cause irritation. Honey will help exfoliate your face and skin by gently removing the dead skin cells leaving a brighter complexion.
For using honey as an exfoliator: Mix two spoons of honey with one spoon baking soda. Splash your skin with water, and then gently rub the concoction on your face or body in a circular motion. Rinse well.

Lighten scars: Honey is a natural moisturiser that will keep your skin soft and healthy and ensure less scarring. It will minimize inflammation thereby helping to heal skin faster. The anti-oxidants present in honey help repair damaged skin.

For using honey to lighten scars: Mix one spoon of raw honey with one spoon coconut oil or olive oil. Apply to the affected area, and massage with the tips of your fingers in a circular motion for one to two minutes. Place a hot washcloth over your skin, and let sit until cool. Repeat daily.
Honey is a super product with tremendous beneficial properties. It’s nature’s gift that keeps on giving.
