The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Erika Harshbarger, the missing Hernando County woman who threatened suicide after having a heated argument with her boyfriend.
According to HCSO Media Relations Manager Denise Moloney, deputies began searching for the 43-year-old Harshbarger earlier this month after she was reported missing by a member of her family. The family member told them that Harshbarger had made suicidal statements after being involved in a heated argument with her boyfriend.
Deputies located her remains on Sept. 12.
While the probe continues, anyone with information about Harshbarger’s disappearance or death should call the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office at 352-754-6830 or their local law enforcement agency.
