A Manatee County Sheriff’s detective contacted detectives from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office on December 7th, 2023, in regards to a sexual cyber harassment case that was taking place in Hernando County. The Manatee County detective provided information about a juvenile victim in Manatee County who reported being cyber-stalked by a Hernando County man named William Isoldi.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation in August 2023 after Isoldi took over the victim’s Snapchat account and started distributing nude photos of her to her friends while soliciting nude photos of them in return.
The Manatee County detective discovered that an IP address from Spring Hill’s 1508 Ivydale Road was accessing the victim’s account after further investigation. The detective also revealed that Isoldi was a registered sexual offender in Polk County, where he had demonstrated the same predatory behavior.
Detectives from Manatee County developed probable cause for and co-authored a search warrant for Isoldi’s residence, which they executed on December 13, 2023.
After the search warrant was concluded, detectives questioned Isoldi, who admitted to the allegations and further admitted to taking over at least two other accounts in an attempt to conduct the same activity. The search of Isoldi’s residence revealed numerous devices and an email address he used to hide his real identity since his sex offender status restricted him from using social media and the internet. Detectives confirmed that Isoldi never reported the email address, which is a violation of his sexual offender requirements.
William Michael Isoldi, 24, was arrested and charged with failure to comply with sex offender reporting requirements, sexual cyber harassment, unlawful use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony, and two counts of violation of probation. Isoldi was transported to the Hernando County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
