Dorothy La Rosa

Dorothy Clinton La Rosa, aged 96, died November 29, 2023, at her home in Brooksville, FL. She was born January 29, 1927 in Tampa, FL to Robert and Lola Lee Clinton. She is survived by her husband of 76 years, William R. La Rosa, M.D., also born 1927, Tampa, FL.
Both Dorothy and Bill graduated from Hillsborough High School. She over saw the management of her husband’s medical practice in Clearwater, Florida. She was active in the Pinellas County Medical Aux., the Barzona Breeders Assn. of America and the Great Dane Kennel club. She served as District Commissioner of the Clearwater Pony Club and Regional Supervisor of the Southern Region of the United States Pony Club. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was a loving spouse and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to cook, sew, and had a passion for reading.
In addition to her spouse, she is survived by sons, William R. La Rosa, Jr., M.D. (Sheila), Stephen C. La Rosa, M.D. (Katherine), daughter Susan La Rosa Cooper (Rodney), seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
