Hernando Audubon Scholarship Recipient

Alexis Madrid is the recipient of the $1500 Stephen B. Fickett Jr. Scholarship awarded annually by the Hernando Audubon Society.

Alexis held dual enrollment in River Ridge High School and Pasco Hernando State College. She will attend the University of South Florida this fall pursuing a degree in environmental biology.

Her career objective is to work for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as a research marine biologist.

The scholarship was presented to Alexis by Scholarship Chair Tom St. Clair at the April 25 meeting of the Hernando Audubon Society.
