Ridge Manor — Beginning at noon on Sunday, June 23, 2024, SR 50 is scheduled to be closed to all traffic at the railroad tracks east of US 301. The closure is needed to erect beams for a SR 50 bridge over the railroad tracks and is expected to be in place around-the-clock for approximately 10 days for the bridge construction and CSX railroad signal work. No traffic will be permitted to enter the work zone or cross the tracks during the closure. SR 50 will be open to local traffic only from US 301 to west of the railroad tracks. SR 50 is expected to reopen on or slightly before Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
DETOUR: Traffic will be detoured using US 301 and State Road 575 / CR 575 (Burwell Road). This is a lengthy detour; drivers are encouraged to plan extra time into their schedules to travel through the detour or consider alternate routes.
