Steve Sims, age 49, of Spring Hill, who was charged with a total of 100 counts of Possession of Child Pornography last year, was sentenced to 15 years in prison and an additional five years of sex offender probation.

He pled no contest and signed a plea agreement on Aug. 23, 2024.

Sims was arrested for ten counts of Possession of Child Pornography after Sheriff’s deputies found at least ten files on his phone containing child pornography. The court-authorized search at his home on Gifford Drive in Spring Hill occurred on April 5, 2023.

On Aug. 23, 2024, Sims pled no contest to 10 counts of “Possession of Material including a sexual performance by a child 10 or more images” and signed a plea agreement.
