Cheryl Long, from Temple Terrace, has a love of notions and lacy things. She has turned that love into the creation of stationary using vintage supplies. She makes a piece of lace and some dried flower petals into a sweet nosegay. Vintage ribbon and a rescued label for silk stockings create a whole different girly message. In another instance, a triple series of lace-filled drops almost seems to be a badge of honor and congratulations! A card of eyes and hooks mixed with lacey things defines the feminine touch…practical and fancy!
Cheryl’s Shelves blank note cards are available in the May-Stringer gift shop. An artist can take the contents of an old sewing box and breathe new life and meaning into a special message.
