The United Cajun Navy is stationed at VFW Post #9236, 3435 Shoal Line Blvd in Hernando Beach until Oct. 30.
A United Cajun Navy representative emphasized the need for volunteers from outside the coastal areas so impacted residents, especially the infirm and elderly, can begin to put their lives back together. “You are going to be amazed at what we do and have done,” she said.
There is also a lengthy needs list. Donations can be dropped off at the VFW Post, Weeki Wachee Area Club, Coast Guard Auxiliary or Aripeka Baptist Church:
