On Thursday, the 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Museum Convoy rolled into Brooksville. As Tunnels to Towers’ motorcade made its way down Main Street, dozens of denizens gathered on the sidewalks to welcome the memorial with American flags in hand.
Last year, the organization stationed the now-retired exhibit at Tom Varn Park. This year, the new mobile unit set up shop catty-corner to the courthouse on the stretch of road between Jefferson Street and East Fort Dade Avenue.
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, Fire Department, and Brooksville Fire Rescue Department all led the special convoy from I75 to State Road 50 before parking in front of Main Street Eatery. Citizens wishing to visit and learn more about that fateful day can visit the mobile exhibit on Friday and Saturday.
Exhibit location & hours: Main Street- Downtown Brooksville
Friday, Nov 8th, 1 p.m.–7 p.m.

As the Sun had previously reported, the patriotic portable display is an 83-foot-long tractor-trailer that “transforms into an educational experience” intended to teach communities about that day and its impact, according to the Tunnels to Towers organization.
