A collision on US-41 claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Monday evening, January 6, 2025.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 7:03 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 572. A 39-year-old Weeki Wachee man was driving a Chevy Silverado northbound on US-41 when he attempted a left turn. His vehicle crossed into the path of a Suzuki motorcycle traveling southbound, operated by a 40-year-old Spring Hill man.

The motorcycle struck the truck, and the motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Silverado sustained minor injuries.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved as the investigation continues.
