According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Ford Raptor pickup northbound on Sterling Hill Blvd near the entrance to the Brackenwood subdivision when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck several smaller trees in the median before striking a larger tree, which brought the vehicle to a stop.
The accident occurred at approximately 6:22 a.m., and the roads were damp at the time of the accident. The results of the investigation have not yet been released, though speed may be a factor. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
