As many of you know, when there is a major change in power (and power players) in Washington DC, our news is so fluid that as soon as a writer develops and turns in a story, there are better than odds chances that their story is old and in need of updating! I had planned on a storyline dealing with our 47th President (and his first day of service). Just watching the morning news broadcast on the FOX cable channel showed me that these next few weeks of story “composing” will be quite the challenge (especially as I can only submit one story per week)! As President Donald Trump had promised us, he would start making big changes in our national politics and policies even before the sun went down and indeed, he DID deliver on that promise! I can tell you that both my wife and I stayed glued to the living room and close to the TV all the way up through the evening. Even after we went to bed, the “Prez” was still going strong! As I was in the process of getting moving this morning (Tuesday, Jan. 21), the news cycle was telling stories of some of the first “effects” of his decisions. Now, the one main decision that is currently foremost in my mind is the promise that the President made to release many of the January 6th prisoners.
There are now pictures being circulated showing at least one of those prisoners having to be wheeled out from his retaining area ON A MEDICAL GURNIE! The report with said picture implied that those detainees are still being harassed and grossly mistreated.
So here is where my (OUR) responsibility must come into play. Many (and indeed, most) of you conservative readers (and fellow patriotic voting citizens) were responsible for getting President Trump back into the White House.
Lord knows that the other side tried DESPERATELY to keep him away, but between his bulldog-like demeanor, the massive voting impact from “us,” and GOD’S PROVIDENCE, he (and we) have succeeded in doing the first part of what will be needed to help our country get closer to where it should be.
I steer my thoughts (again) to what was being said on this day’s “FOX” broadcast, and especially what one of the morning guests had to say. This was what Mr. Clay Travis (of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show) offered to Ms. Dana Perino. He said, “To buckle up!” Now, this was just one short quote from the many other things that were said by the man.
It stuck in my mind that his implication was that as the President was again “Large and in charge,” there are going to be political battles in nearly every decision and decree that he (and his new administration members) make. We cannot just sit back on our “laurels” and be spectators to what is to play out. Our President and, indeed, our whole country need our support now more than ever!
In closing, I am going to offer you readers some information that may be helpful to you in making your voice, thoughts and ideas known. As I was researching this info, the website that I went to was not yet completely updated and had Mike Pence as the Vice President!. So, here is some information that should be helpful if you decide to get further involved. I hope that this will be used by a good percentage of you! Have a blessed day!
By the way. remember that if you have a desire to contact me, my info is [email protected].
