Join Hernando County Government and Hernando County Parks and Recreation on Monday, March 24, 2025, for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate park improvements and a brand new playground installed at Coach Lorenzo Hamilton Sr. Park located at 899 Kennedy Blvd., Brooksville, FL 34601. The ribbon cutting ceremony is set to begin at 10am and will go live on Hernando County Government’s Facebook.
“We are thrilled to unveil the new improvements at Coach Lorenzo Hamilton Sr. Park, which will create more accessible and enjoyable experiences for all who visit,” said Rob Talmage, Parks & Recreation Administrator. “These upgrades, including the new ADA-accessible playground and enhanced sports facilities, are part of our ongoing effort to provide a safe, accessible, and enjoyable space for all members of our community to gather and enjoy.”
The ribbon cutting ceremony is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to join in the celebration and explore the newly upgraded amenities at Coach Lorenzo Hamilton Sr. Park.
List of upgrades to Coach Lorenzo Hamilton Sr. Park:
· New playground – ADA accessible
· New roof tops installed on all shelters
· Replaced stairs at the press box
· Rebuilt Field 1
· Painted all supporting structures in the park
· Installed new scoreboards on the baseball fields
