On March 11, Leonard Hall, 50, appeared in circuit court, where the judge sentenced Hall to nine years with the Florida Department of Corrections after being convicted for his role in multiple narcotics trafficking transactions involving fentanyl-pressed pills. He was given approximately $61,200 in court fines/fees.

On March 6, Hall pled guilty to:
TRAFFICKING IN FENTANYL
SELL, MANU, DEL OR POSS W/INTENT A CNTL SUB W/O CITATION x 2
USE 2 WAY COMMUNICATION DEVICE TO FACILITATE FELONY x 2
POSS OF PARAPHERNALIA x 2
SALE OF FENTANYL
POSS OF PLACE TRAF/SALE/MANUF CONTROL SUBSTANCE
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
POSSESSION OF COCAINE
POSS OF PARAPHERNALIA

Authorities said each of Hall’s transactions, conducted throughout 2024, involved quantities of fentanyl that exceeded state trafficking thresholds. Hall’s arrest on Sept. 3, 2024, marked the conclusion of an extensive investigation led by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit.

Hall was arrested alongside Heidi Williams, 43, following a traffic stop. Both had been under investigation for several months. Williams was also charged with trafficking in fentanyl. She attempted to hide crack cocaine from the authorities in a body cavity upon her arrest. Charges on that matter were abandoned by prosecutors. On Feb. 19, Williams pled guilty to “SELL, MANU, DEL OR POSS W/INTENT A CNTL SUB W/O CITATION,” and “USE 2 WAY COMMUNICATION DEVICE TO FACILITATE FELONY.” Prosecutors chose not to prosecute the charges of “TRAFFICKING IN FENTANYL,” and “POSS OF PLACE TRAF/SALE/MANUF CONTROL SUBSTANCE.”

Williams’ sentencing was withheld, but she received 24 months of Community Control followed by 36 months of drug offender probation “for each case/count concurrent.”

Both Hall and Williams have had previous offenses.

Hall was found guilty of disorderly intoxication (felony) in 2014 and prosecutors dropped charges on a handful of misdemeanor charges, including petit theft and possession of marijuana in 2018.

Williams received pre-trial diversion for a misdemeanor petit theft charge in 2016 and was found guilty of the same in 2019.
