Mykonos II: a family restaurant, with a big menu

April 02, 2017 - 07:57
Mykonos II

Mykonos II is located on east Jefferson Street across from Brooksville Lanes. The building is set back off the road a bit, in a red and white building with a sign saying Mykonos II on the front of the building.

They have been around for more than 25 years with the same owner at this location. They have a large menu, so everyone should be able to find something that they like. They serve Greek, Italian, and Cuban food at this family friendly restaurant.

 “house” pizza

While we waited for our food, we asked each other riddles, most of which we found online on our phone. While we were checking out, the staff asked us a neat riddle "What can you hear because it has a tongue, but cannot speak because it does not have a lung?"

We sampled some of their Italian and Greek options: the “house” pizza, spinach and feta pizza with creole sauce, and moussaka. The house pie came with a generous amount of pepperoni, sausage, onion, green peppers, mushrooms, and cheese. The spinach and feta pie had a creole sauce, which is similar to an alfredo sauce instead of tomato sauce. Their moussaka was very good and slightly sweet.

The restaurant is located at 1740 E Jefferson St in Brooksville. To pick up food or for more information, reach them at 352-799-3154. Open Sunday from 11:30am to 6:30pm and Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am to 7:30pm.

By the way if you guessed that a bell as the answer to the riddle, then you’d be correct!
