Florida State College of Jacksonville traveled to PHSC home court on Wednesday night where PHSC ended their fourth game of the season with a loss.

Destin Dunton returns from injury to play against Florida State College of Jacksonville Wednesday night at Pasco Hernando State College in New Port Richey.

The return of Sophomore Guard Destin Dunton played his first game after being cleared from injury to face undefeated Division I Florida State Jacksonville.

“He did pretty decent; he just needs to get his rhythm back,” Coach Michael Jones said.

FSC’s Travis McConico (6) and James Harper Jr. (4) overpowered PHSC in 3 pointers as Charles Isaac, Michael Flores battled the drives on the court and maneuvered their defensive stance.

“I feel good about the season; we got a couple of things to work on… I think we will be alright,” Isaac said.  For Isaac personally, he felt he could have pressed the board a little more.

Some would think that the momentum would continue to bring PHSC down, however Jones is optimistic about the upcoming games. Isaac brought in 24 points and returning guard Dunton added 15. The final score for Wednesday night's game was Pasco-Hernando State 66 | Florida State Jacksonville 90.

“That’s college basketball; it’s the development of playing college games, playing better talent every night. If we stick to the game plan we will be alright,” Jones said. “The main thing we have to focus on is defense, bring in some intensity and some hustle.”
