Shop Small Saturday is Nov. 26

On November 26, 2016, the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce is lending its support to Small Business Saturday with Hernando county businesses. The event is dedicated to strengthening the community by supporting local small businesses.
The Chamber is assisting the celebration by working together with small businesses to build awareness, and to promote successful growth among businesses in the area. Local businesses are encouraged to offer special one-day-only deals and sales, to post marketing materials, and become involved in the event through social media.

Crescent Community Clinic Upcoming Fundraiser

Crescent Community Clinic is offering sponsorship opportunities for its upcoming fundraiser, the “Nearly” Real Housewives of Hernando County, which will be performed on Sat, Feb. 4, 2017 at the Vineyard Christian Church, 375 South Broad Street, Brooksville, Florida 34601, and on Saturday, February 11, at the Town Square Theater, 3021 Commercial Way, Spring Hill, Florida 34607.  Both performances begin at 7 pm and doors open at 6:30 for dessert and coffee. Hernando Youth Orchestra has instruments for loan

HYO has some instruments to loan to young musicians ages 6 to 21. HYO’s low-cost music lessons are a perfect way to develop your musical skills before joining the orchestra.

PHSC to host job search workshops

Pasco-Hernando State College will host a job search strategy workshop series on Mondays in November at the West Campus, in New Port Richey, 10230 Ridge Road. The series—designed to help job seekers overcome the challenges of finding employment and to refine interviewing skills—is free and open to the public.
Interviewing Skills & Tips – Nov. 21 from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. in room A205. Attendees will review protocol and unique techniques for successful interviews, including how to dress professionally, display proper body language and write the quintessential post-interview communications. Volunteers sought for Animal Services

Volunteers are needed to help socialize the dogs and cats, transport and assist with offsite adoption events, help with bathing/grooming, walk dogs and most of all love and play with the animals.
