Operation Outreach Committee Meeting Cancelled

The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce’s Operation Outreach C ommittee meeting scheduled for March has been cancelled.
The Operation Outreach committee is a group of dedicated volunteers and chamber members who mentor new chamber members as they learn how to effectively network, market and brand their business to Hernando County and beyond. Get out into the community and really get to know our members by visiting and creating new relationships.

The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce is having the MARCH Monthly Membership Meeting at Silverthorn Country Club, 4550 Golf Club Lane, Brooksville on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at 7:15 am. Network with local businesses and meet your next customer.

meets every Monday

Start your week with the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce’s Business To Business Networking. The group will meet every Monday morning, beginning at 7:15am – 9:30am.
The group provides continental breakfast and networking opportunities.
Meeting will take place at the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce, 15588 Aviation Loop Drive, Brooksville.

The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners is accepting applications from individuals wishing to serve on the following County Boards. These positions are currently vacant.
Board of Construction and Regulation — One Roofing Contractor positio and One Architect/Engineer
Fine Arts Council — Two positions
Citizens Advisory Task Force — Five positions

Unitarian Universalist Church seeks donations of books

The Unitarian Universalist Church in the Pines is seeking donations of books for People Helping People’s effort to aid homeless people to find—and keep—employment.
Books on cooking, culinary sciences, computer/office use (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc), sales, and gardening/landscaping are especially appreciated. Call 352-600-9555 to schedule your donation.

‘Hop n Glow’ Easter event is April 15

Get your family ready for the 4th Annual HOP ‘n GLOW on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Anderson Snow Park located at 1360 Anderson Snow Road, Spring Hill from 5:30 until 9:00 pm.
Enjoy the Black Light Dance Party, Face Painting, Games, and Give-A-Ways. Special photo op with the Easter Bunny, entertainment, and so much more! Don’t forget the Easter Egg Hunt with over 20,000 eggs!! Age defined egg hunts start at 6:30pm.

Applications being Accepted for Leadership Hernando 2017

The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Hernando is the only community leadership program in Hernando County, and works with professionals that are interested in improving both their standing, as well as the community as a whole.
Established in 1992, Leadership Hernando selects 25 applicants to participate in 12 all day sessions that run from June through November, and provides practical experience in building relationships within their community. Applications are now being accepted at http:// www.hernandochamber.com
