The Hernando Computer Club will host its largest promotional event of the year from 5-8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 23, in the Fellowship Hall of Grace Presbyterian Church, 8375 Spring Hill Drive. This event is free and open to the public.
Over 100 members of the club, who are all volunteers, will be on hand to greet attendees and acquaint them with everything the club has to offer. Instructors will provide information on classes offered, as well as demonstrate the amazing things you can do with your laptop, phone, tablet and iPad. The club is very active in the community and members will provide information on the number of computers that have been refurbished and donated to local schools and other nonprofit organizations, as well as food drives, collection of box tops and school supplies and participation in events held to support our students.
Outside vendors participating this year include Butler Computer, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, Staples, iDROID, Ink Refiller, Grace Presbyterian Church, Staples and the Historical Society and Museum. Representatives from those organizations will acquaint attendees with the services they provide.
Refreshments will be served and door prizes awarded. The club invites the public to join them for an informative and fun-filled evening.
