FrogWatch USA Training

May 7 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Calling all frog lovers! Amphibian populations throughout the world are declining. Do you want to help? If so, join the Chinsegut Conservation Center FrogWatch Chapter (FL Frog Hoppers) and become a citizen scientist! As a citizen scientist you will have the opportunity to explore your local wetlands, learn to identify local frogs and toads by their calls, and contribute data to a long-term scientific study.
Join us for this FREE training session! (Kids 8+ are welcome to join with an adult)
Monitoring through FrogWatch USA can be an enriching experience that allows individuals to connect with nature while contributing to amphibian conservation efforts.
To register, please follow this link: https://outreach.myfwc.com/events/EventDetails.aspx…
This is a training session for you to be a FrogWatch volunteer. As a volunteer, you will be expected to monitor a wetland area near you at least once a month (typically for 5-10 minutes), and to input the data you record at your site into an online database.
