Please be advised that the location of the Public Hearing before City Council for the First Reading of Ordinance No. 984 has been changed. It will be held at the Jerome Brown Community Center, 99 Jerome Brown Place, Brooksville, Fl. 34601 on January 6, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is a request to rezone a property from City of Brooksville PDP-R (Planned Development Project­ Residential) and Hernando County AG (Agricultural) to City of Brooksville PDP-R

to allow for the development of up to 1,477 residential units. The residential housing types proposed include conventional detached single-family units, villas, bungalows and townhomes. Located on the south side of Southern Hills Boulevard, north of Powell Road and east of U.S. Highway 41, the subject property is 462 acres in size and has Suburban Residential and Single Family/Multifamily Future Land Use designations. The application in its entirety may be obtained in the Community Development Department Office at City Hall, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601.

AN ORDINANCE AMMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND APPROVING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY APPROXIMATELY 462.3 ACRES IN SIZE, GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SOUTHERN HILLS BOULEVARD, EAST OF U.S. HIGHWAY 41 (BROAD STREET) AND NORTH OF POWELL ROAD IN THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN SECTION 1, FROM CITY OF BROOKSVILLE ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION PDP-R (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PROJECT-RESIDENTIAL) AND HERNANDO COUNTY AG (AGRICULTURAL) TO CITY OF BROOKSVILLE PDP-R); AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
