The City Council of the City of Brooksville will hold Public Hearings in the Joseph E. Johnston, III, City Hall Council Chambers, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida. The date for First Reading for small scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment Ordinance No. 958 is February 6, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. If approved, the date for Second and Final Reading of the ordinance will be March 6, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. The Ordinance may be obtained in the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601, or by calling the City Clerk at 352-540-3816.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA, APPROVING A SMALL SCALE AMENDMENT TO THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP AND ELEMENT OF THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR PROPERTY APPROXIMATELY 442 ACRES IN SIZE, GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF BROAD STREET AND NORTH OF CROOM ROAD AND BEARING HERNANDO COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER KEY NUMBERS 348975, 349171, 349938, 350408 AND 349634 IN THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN “EXHIBIT A”; PURSUANT TO PROCEDURES ESTABLISHED IN SECTION 163.3184, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE

Location: This parcel is 442 acres in size and is located on the east side of Broad Street (U.S. Highway 41) north of Croom Road.
