The City Council of the City of Brooksville will hold a Public Hearing in the Joseph E. Johnston, III, City Hall Council Chambers, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida, 34601. Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. 993 will be heard March 17, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. The Ordinance may be obtained in the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601, or by calling the City Clerk at 352-540-3816.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA AMENDING SECTIONS 46-74 “PERIODIC INSPECTIONS,” 46-75 “COMPLIANCE WITH CODES; SERVICE OF WARNINGS, FINES OR ORDERS,” 46-77 “VIOLATION OF CODE,” AND 46-78 “PENALTIES” OF ARTICLE III “FIRE CODE” OF CHAPTER 46 “FIRE PROTECTION AND PREVENTION” OF THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE CODE OF ORDINANCES; REQUIRING PROPERTY OWNERS TO PROVIDE REASONABLE ACCESS TO THEIR PROPERTIES FOR INSPECTION BY THE FIRE PREVENTION DIVISION; ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR REFUSAL TO AUTHORIZE ACCESS FOR FIRE INSPECTIONS; REVISING FINES FOR FIRE CODE VIOLATIONS; ESTABLISHING FINES FOR UNPAID FIRE INSPECTION FEES, AUTHORIZING LIENS FOR NON-PAYMENT, AND PROVIDING FOR APPEALS TO THE CITY MANAGER; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
