The City Council of the City of Brooksville will hold a Public Hearing in the Joseph E. Johnston, III, City Hall Council Chambers, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida. Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. 921 will be held November 16, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the request is to rezone two parcels from C-2 (Highway Commercial) and R1-B (Residential) to PDP-R (Planned Development Project-Residential) to allow for the conversion of a 13-unit motel to a multi-family development containing 13 efficiency dwelling units. (The application/petition and a more complete legal description may be obtained in the Community Development Department office at City Hall, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601). As of the date of advertising, this hearing will be held in-person. Should an Executive Order from Governor DeSantis’ require changing this to a virtual meeting, notice will be posted on the City’s website. TITLE: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE REZONING OF APPROXIMATELY 0.47 ACRES OF PROPERTY AT 250 NORTH BROAD STREET BEARING HERNANDO COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER’S KEY NUMBER 141705 LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF BROAD STREET APPROXIMATELY 710 FEET WEST OF THE BROAD STREET/JEFFERSON STREET INTERSECTION IN THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN SECTION 2, FROM ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION C-2 (HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL) AND R1-B (RESIDENTIAL) TO PDP-R (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PROJECT-RESIDENTIAL); AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
