TITLE 54: PROFESSIONS, VOCATIONS, AND BUSINESSES, CHAPTER 59 NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR LICENSING AND NATUROPATH REGISTRATION
54-5908. REGISTERED NATUROPATHS. (1) Naturopaths who are not licensed naturopathic doctors may, but shall not be required to, obtain registration under the provisions of this chapter and pursuant to the rules of the board.
(2) The scope of practice for a registered naturopath under this chapter shall be limited to practices permitted pursuant to section 54-1804(1)(I), Idaho Code. History: [54-5908, added 2022, ch. 194, sec. 1, p. 640.]
Scope of Practice: Chapter 18:
(g) A person engaged in good faith in the practice of the religious tenets of any church or religious beliefs;
(k) A person administering a family remedy to a member of the family;
(1) A person who administers treatment or provides advice regarding the human body and its functions and who:
(i) Does not use legend drugs or prescription drugs in such practice;
(ii) Uses natural elements such as air, heat, water and light;
(iii) Uses only class I or class II nonprescription, approved, medical devices as defined in section 513 of the federal food, drug and cosmetic act;
(iv) Uses only vitamins, minerals, herbs, natural food products and their extracts, and nutritional supplements;
(v) Does not perform surgery;
This notice of Naturopth Registration with the above referenced Idaho Board of Professional Regulation is representing the expressed intent that Dr. Anthony B. James intends to practice the full scope of practice, as described in Chaper 18 as listed previously or allowable under the Idaho Title 54, Chapter CHAPTER 59: NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR LICENSING AND NATUROPATH REGISTRATION 54- 5908.
