There are kids that dream of being an actor or actress on stage. Learning lines and roles are challenging, however learning the essentials of stage makeup is just as important.

Ramaad Morris has been around musical theater acting all his life. Now he teaches workshops and performs live on stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Club Villain.

Painting with a Twist: A masterpiece of your own.

For some, art is a way of therapy as well as an escape to grasp one’s own individual creativity.

At Painting with a Twist there are no rules and no intimidating terminology or techniques for the novice artist, it is a place where people can get together and enjoy creating art with a glass of wine.

The Spring Hill location opened in April of 2016 and has blossomed into a “got to do” activity for Hernando County residents.

All Aboard the Trackless Train

Recently we saw the Trackless Train at the Autism festival at Springstead High School. It is available for rent for private parties at $150 for the first hour and $100 for each additional hour. The train also comes with a conductor.

The owners of the trackless train, Breanna and Michael Summerfeld, first saw a trackless train at a birthday party. The Summerfelds saw this as a business opportunity and after a couple of years of research decided to run their very own trackless train.

Have a Good Day Thai has new chef

Have a Good Day Thai has been open for a several months, providing authentic Thai food to Spring Hill and even travelers commuting to and from Tampa.

In hiring a chef, Mr. and Mrs. Nontavatit, owners of the fast casual restaurant felt that they needed to bring in a chef directly from Thailand, to prepare truly authentic Thai cuisine.

The process to get Chef Patinya Areerom to the U.S. was lengthy, but Mr. Areerom brings with him a solid background in Thai culinary arts.

What used to be the nursery in the May Stringer House back in the late 1800’s is now dedicated to the Bill Rosst Special Exhibit Gallery.

“We change out what we had (previously displayed) and we are pertaining to more of the home itself. Our exhibits are going to be, hopefully more around the home interest and things of that nature,” Sharon Balser said. Sharon has been a Docent for the museum for about four years.

Saturday July 9th, was the first day for downtown Brooksville's Farmers Market.

Stretching a block on Main Street, vendors such as Waste Not What Knots showcased their recycled creations, Susan Leslie Lumsden from The Rebel Quilter displayed beautiful quilt work, Marni Butler from Fox Willows exhibited custom stained glass vintage art. The farmers market also had Barn Cat Country Goods Local Raw Honey provided by Wm & Danielle Ford and fresh vegetables from the Rising Sun Bistro.
