Farmers Market in Brooksville to Return July 9th

The Farmer’s Market on Main Street in downtown Brooksville will begin on 07/09/16, according to Parks and Recreation and Facilities Director Mike Walker. The hours of operation will be from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Main Street will be closed in front of the courthouse. Though there are currently only nine vendors, Walker hopes that more will come and states they will be able to accommodate up to 20 vendors in front of the courthouse. As they increase the number of vendors, they will extend the marker further down Main Street.

The county's first go-kart park opened in 1973 by Jimmy Rodgers and family. The park was located on Weatherly Rd off of Mondon Hill Rd. The charge for 10 minutes around the track was just a dollar. This track is no longer open, but another track was established in Hernando County located off of Countyline Rd, now known as Springleton Fun Park.
