Adults and young adults can register to attend a fun two-hour session to learn about archery and try your skills. All equipment is provided by the Conservation Center. As the nights cool down, the activity heats up. Join the staff of Chinsegut Conservation Center for a guided night hike to see who or what is up when the sun goes down.
Most people go hiking during the day because it’s easier to see where you’re going, and humans are naturally more active during the day. But there’s a myriad of things you might not ever see unless you hike at night.

22nd annual Epcot Food & Wine Festival Opens Aug. 31

The 22nd Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Aug. 31 to Nov. 13 will feature a record number of global food and wine marketplaces. Totalling 35 in all, they will sizzle with new edible delights to celebrate 35 years of Epcot. This year, the annual Walt Disney World Resort culinary tour of flavors will be for a longer-than-ever 75-day run.
Epcot event will run for 13 additional days of inspired sips and bites throughout the park’s World Showcase and Future World.

When it's Fall, it's time for spaghetti! Bring your appetite and your fun-side to Papa Joe's for the annual fundraising event. Eat your fill and enjoy the festivities outside. All-you-can-eat-spaghetti, 99-cents Proceeds this year will benefit NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) of Hernando County.

Touring Florida State Capitol

Want to learn about our state government and history? Instead of reading about it in a book, take a day to explore the Florida State capitol in Tallahassee.
On a recent vacation, we had the opportunity to spend a few hours in the state’s capital and it allowed my kids to experience a little of our state history as well as learn how our state came about.
