Hernando Courthouse Christmas Tree Lighting

The Christmas tree lighting in front of the Hernando Courthouse in Historic downtown Brooksville was an even bigger event than last year. It was hosted by Randi Olsen and Jason Yungmann who performed along with the Live Oak Theatre Company, Suncoast Elementary School, and the Weeki Wachee High School Chorus. The street was closed in front of the courthouse, where vendors were selling food, jewelery, and crafts. Patricia’s Dress Shop was open and young ladies were putting on a show in the window display which drew quite a crowd. The Rising Sun Bistro and Market was packed where former Hernando High Geometry teacher Joe Solomon and Bill Creel hosted open mic night. The evening was a success due to the efforts of Hernando County, City of Brooksville, local businesses, schools, individual vendors, the Live Oak Theatre Company and others.
