Greece: Not just gyros, moussaka, suflaki

The Greeks are particularly proud of their cultural events and remain faithful towards them whatever they be in the world.

Traditions, religion, music, language, food and wines are the most important characteristics of the Greek culture and should be experienced.

Greek cuisine is more than just gyros, moussaka and suflaki. Its 4,000-year history makes the food very diverse and the first cookbook was written in Greece in 330 BC. Also Greek wine is something special. Wine production was rigorously controlled as early as the ancient times.

Wine should enjoyed with every meal, because it is a real pleasure and the Greek cuisine will enchant you with its flavors.

Beginning Saturday, Feb 4 and through Sunday, Feb. 5, three days offers everything Greek. Indulge in delicious Greek food and pastries, watch traditional Greek folk dance performances and test your dancing expertise. Special features include a Kids’ Village, cooking demonstrations, vendors, and more. Register early for the Toga 5K Run / Walk to be held on Saturday.
